Digitally switchable sound functions
As a highlight in freight traffic, the locomotives of the series 151 covered the heaviest ore trains in Western Europe between the North Sea ports and the steel mills Peine-Salzgitter and the Saarland from 1976. Trains reached loads of up to 5,700 tonnes. In this case, it was driven exclusively in double traction and with an automatic clutch, since the conventional screw clutch would not have withstood the very high tensile forces.
