Prototype: The Italian Class Gr.835 was built in 1906 and was used primarily for freight and shunting services. A total of 320 locomotives were built and were placed into service at nearly every Italian station. They were very robust and easy to maintain. The Gr. 835's remained in service until the mid 1970's, they were the main Italian shunting locomotive for over seventy years.
Model: The Fulgurex model of the Gr. 835 is incredible, it is handmade out of brass with meticulous attention to detail. Only 260 were made worldwide. The model has a full cab interior, brushless can motor, functional front and rear lights, interior illumination and sprung loaded puffers. It is also equipped with a ESU lok pilot multi functional digital decoder so it could be run conventionally or digitally. We only have a few of these little gems available to sell.
