Product Features and Details
The E06 was built in Berlin by BMAG and delivered in 1924. It was at the time one of the worlds most modern electric locomotives. The Micro Metakit E06 sets the standard for all future HO locomotives. This was the first Micro Metakit DCC digital model, they really set the bar with this one. The version is the WWII version painted in a unique camo livery. The model has functional lights and fully detailed engineers cab and motor compartment. The motor compartment and engineers cabs are also illuminated, the interior lighting can be digitally turned on and off. The most amazing aspect of the model is that it has a fully functional old functional replicated electromotor. The electromotor has spinning coils which are polished in brass and spinning counterweights. When you run the model you can digitally turn on the interior lighting and watch all the movement through the windows, it's simply amazing. You will see the spinning brass conductor coils and the large counterweight moving. You will also notice that the large counterweight has the jack shafts connected to the drive rods so everything moves together, just like the real locomotive. Up to know no one has ever made this possible in a model. The locomotive is a moving work of art, and it has many of the same characteristics of a steam locomotive. The model has moving drive rods and spinning counterweights, it also has a steam boiler. The steam boiler was used on routes where there were no electric lines, so the locomotive was able to run on steam and electric power. We really love this model, it might just be the most functional HO locomotive ever made. This Era II version is very rare only 60 were produced worldwide.
