New for 2026: With the DB Class 184.1 in Era IV, PIKO brings the locomotives known as the "European locomotives" to H0 scale. Equipped for various electrical systems in Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, these locomotives significantly facilitated cross-border traffic.
The PIKO model is a fitting tribute to the locomotive. A glance at the detailed roof garden immediately catches the eye, revealing the delicate metal pantographs mounted on the locomotive roof without visible screws. The sides are characterized by fine mesh and engravings.
Through the cab door, one can see into the meticulously recreated engine room, which is ideally illuminated by appropriate lighting. The cab lighting is also digitally switchable. Looking under the locomotive body, the bogies are presented with numerous separately applied components. The overall impression is rounded off by the clean paintwork and the crisp printing.
The PIKO Expert model comes factory-equipped with a PIKO PSD XP sound decoder and features numerous vehicle-specific sounds.
