Product Features and Details
Novelty 2025: Design variant of the DR Class 143 in Era IV in a striking S-Bahn livery. The PIKO model impresses with the successful mold construction without disturbing mold parting edges and the harmonious implementation of all relevant details of the prototype machine. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The drivers cab lighting and the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with the factory-integrated PluX22 decoder. The model with a die-cast zinc frame has a five-pole motor with precisely balanced flywheels for excellent running characteristics and two traction tires for high tractive forces, which are arranged diagonally on the inside axles of both bogies. Attachable dummy brake hoses are included with the BR 143 model. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations, a new quality mark “fits mfx®” was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
