Product Features and Details
Novelty 2025: German Federal Railroad BR 120 electric locomotive in late era condition with round buffers. The PIKO model of the attractive class 120 impresses with the finest paintwork and printing, the exact realization of the striking body shape, attached handle bars, sharply engraved bogie covers and filigree metal pantographs. The five-pole motor with two flywheels ensures excellent running characteristics. The LED light change is white/red depending on the direction of travel using LEDs. The standard cab lighting and the headlights that change over with the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The locomotive has a PIKO sound decoder and a loudspeaker as standard. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations, a new “fits mfx®” quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
