Novelty 2024: The PIKO model of the BR E 41 appears in the colors of the DB in Era III. The headlights and tail lamps are illuminated via LEDs, whose red or white changes with the direction of travel. Technically and structurally, the model corresponds to the well-known PIKO models of the BR 141. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder and a loudspeaker ex works. The model bears the “fits mfx†quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Marklin digital centers, a new quality mark fits mfx was introduced together with Marklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed carry the fits mfx quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx†logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx.
