Product Features and Details
With the newly designed Piko 1044/1144 there will also be authentic models of the high order numbers of this series in 1:87 for the first time.
The characterful locomotive face of the former ÖBB show horse was hit exceptionally well in the model implementation, as was the striking side section of the vehicles, which, with the distinctive beads and the typical "portholes", posed challenges to mold making. The resulting impression of an ideal optical effect is continued in the locomotive bogies. Last but not least, the new 1044 is technically convincing: a five-pole Piko motor with two finely balanced flywheels on its shaft ensures even propulsion.
The model is factory-fitted with an authentic vehicle sound. The change of light that is mandatory today was realized using contemporary LED technology. However, the lighting of the driver's cab and driver's desk, which is also available in the PIKO model and can be switched in digital mode, is not a matter of course.
