Product Features and Details
New for 2024: The modern BR 101 in the design of Train Charter Services. The single-arm pantographs have been recreated extremely delicately and sharply engraved bogies complete the visual appearance. To complement this, optional brake hoses are included. A powerful, 5-pole motor ensures smooth travel. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 stands out for its extremely smooth running. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving. The technical highlight is the built-in driver's cab and driver's desk lighting. The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red/white, of course using the latest LED technology. In digital operation, these functions can be switched separately. This is controlled via a factory-installed PSD XP sound decoder. The model bears the “fits mfx†quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Marklin digital centers, a new quality mark fits mfx was introduced together with Marklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed carry the fits mfx quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx†logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx.
