Novelty 2024: Printed variant of the BR 140 as run by the BayernBahn in Epoch VI. The model has built-in, digitally switchable driver's cab lighting as standard. The five-pole motor ensures excellent running characteristics with two large flywheels and power consumption via eight wheels. In order to ensure a high tractive force, the PIKO model has, in addition to the zinc die-cast frame, two traction tires that sit diagonally to one another on the internal axles of both bogies. The model has a PluX22 interface, white/red light change and short coupling kinematics. The PIKO E 40 is prepared for retrofitting with a sound decoder and large loudspeaker.
