Product Features and Details
Novelty 2025: Version of the S499.02 as the Rh 242 CD in Era VI. The many attractive details and the appealing design have been implemented prototypically and elegantly. Precisely reproduced technical elements, such as in the area of the bogies, complete the successful design of the model. The model is factory-equipped with a PSD XP sound decoder and lighting in the drivers cabs, the instrument panels and the engine room can also be switched on and off. The sound version of the locomotive has a PSD XP sound decoder including the largest possible loudspeaker. The model bears the “fits mfx®” quality mark. A new “fits mfx®” quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the “fits mfx®” quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx®” logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
