Prototype: Class M28 diesel switcher locomotive as a works loco at the Märklin factory in Györ, Hungary. Former switcher loco of the Hungarian State Railroad (MÁV). Chrome-oxide green basic paint scheme. Road number M28.1001. The loco looks as it did in era IV following its recent cosmetic overhaul.
Model: The model has a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has a controlled high-performance motor. Both axles are powered, one of them via the coupling rod. Traction tires are fitted. The triple headlights change ends with the direction of travel, will operate conventionally, and can be controlled digitally. The cab lighting and running gear lighting can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free, warm-white LEDs are used for the lighting. A buffer capacitor is fitted. Front and rear Telex couplers can be controlled digitally. Grab irons and many other details are separately applied.
The buffer height conforms to NEM specifications. There is a locomotive engineer figure standing in the cab. Length over the buffers approximately 8.5 cm / 3-3/8".
