Information about the model
The modernization programs of the 1950s finally made it possible to retire these carriages. Most of the third-class carriages built according to drawing DI23 were produced; in train formations, felt linings between the underframe and the carriage body improved comfort. Ventilation was provided by skylight slots, covered externally by Bachmann caps; these were opened internally via a sliding mechanism.
