Information about the model
Even during routine inspections by the DRG (German State Railway), the removal of brakeman's cabins from passenger carriages began; only the handbrake mechanism had to be retained for legal reasons. Nevertheless, carriages with brakeman's cabins survived the Second World War and were used by both German railway administrations. Furthermore, the Bachmann brake caps were frequently replaced with Wendler suction cups. Curiously, the DRG sealed the exterior toilet doors again and later often removed them completely.
