New in 2024: Variant of the BR S499 as S489.0 Laminatka of the CSD Cargo in Era III. The grace of the elegant machines of the type koda 47E Laminatka was transferred excellently to the scale of 1:87 and an absolutely harmonious overall picture was created. The many attractive details, such as the skylights in the engine room, were elegantly implemented and the strongly structured lines of the locomotive body were visualized using sharp engravings. Technical elements such as the bogies, which complete the successful design of the model, were precisely reproduced. The colorful livery of the model, including dynamic decorative elements, also suits the locomotive in 1:87 thanks to the elaborate paintwork and printing. The locomotive is powered by a five-pole motor, whose smooth running is perfected by two flywheels. Red and white lighting that changes with the direction of travel is of course available and uses modern LED technology. The model has a matching PSD XP sound decoder with the largest possible loudspeaker ex works. The model bears the “fits mfx†quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Marklin digital centers, a new quality mark fits mfx was introduced together with Marklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone a special mfx test and have passed it completely. These decoders and the locomotives in which they are installed carry the fits mfx quality mark, which certifies the unrestricted mfx functionality. This means that PIKO products with the “fits mfx†logo now fully support the diverse functions of mfx.
